Brace Bar

A piece of pine timber is used to secure to the studs in the wall. The barn door track is then secured to the brace bar. 

The brace bar is normally painted white, but can be painted the wall colour or stain colour of the door. 

In some circumstances, there are LVL / timber beams installed behind the plaster to provide support for the barn door. We don't recommend going without the brace bar, as the weight of the track and door can not be supported by the plaster and will overtime puncher the wall and create holes.
